Looking for an easy project and activity with your kiddos for Valentines Day?

I was sooo tempted to bust out my Silhouette but I chose not to and instead sat down and spent 30 minutes with scissors. I drew hearts on the back of some of the paper and let the kids practice their mad scissor skills and I free-handed most of them. It was fun to just slow down and do something old-school.

After we cut out what seemed like enough hearts to go around the world we then pulled out the ribbon box and found an appropriate ribbon according to my munchkins.

And one by one we started gluing them down the strand. We ended up with a garland that is about 12′ long. 🙂 (I told you we cut out a lot)

It was simple, sweet, and fun and the kids enjoyed doing something hands on with mom.

Now where to hang a 12′ garland? 🙂
