Tulle Wreath

I made this for my daughter’s room. I am redecorating her room, she’s 2 1/2 now and so we are moving from the baby phase to the little girl phase. πŸ™‚ I’m decorating it in lots of white, light pink, hot pink, and orange. πŸ™‚

What you need:

  • 2 yards of tulle – $2
  • Cross StitchΒ Hoop – $2
  • Scissors

Step One:
Cut tulle into strips of about 12″x2″ and 16″x2″

Step Two:
Stack the tulle strips in groups of 2-3 and fold in half. Pull the folded side under the hoop and pull the ends through the tulle to make a one-sided square knot.

When tying the tulle on, alternate between the long strips and short strips, and pull the shorter knots towards the center until you are done. It helps the tulle stand up and pull tighter on the hoop.

Β I haven’t quite decided what I want to do with the pink tulle yet, or if I want to add orange. I will update my post when I’ve decided, but here is how it turned out. πŸ™‚
