Baby Changing Mat

This idea came from my mother-in-law. She made me one when I had our eldest daughter, but I need a boy one now. 🙂 So I went to one of my favorite home decor stores (TJ Maxx) and dug through there several towels until I found this cute kid set. I just needed one wash cloth and one hand towel. I love that they are not exactly the same but they match.

It only takes 3 easy steps to make this changing mat! (I love easy projects! I always feel so accomplished when I’m done.)

Step 1: Pin and sew your wash cloth to the top of the hand towel.

I sewed a green zigzag stitch for fun.

Step 2: Fold towel up how you would like it and place a pin where the ribbon will go.
Step 3: Unfold the towel and sew the center of the ribbon where you pinned the towel.

You are done! Refold the towel and tie the ribbon. Now you have a compact, washable changing pad for your little one! 🙂
